Hire Motorcycle – Rider Protection Insurance Policy
At Hire Motorcycle, your safety is a priority. This Bodily Injury Insurance is included to provide financial support for medical treatment in the unfortunate event of an accident while riding one of our Motorcycles.
Key Coverage
Medical Protection
Eligible riders are covered for accident-related medical expenses up to MVR 40,000 during the rental period.
Where You Can Receive Treatment
Coverage applies to treatment received at selected hospitals in Malé and Hulhumalé, for costs not covered under Aasandha:
- ADK Hospital
- Senehiya Hospital
- Tree Top Hospital
- Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH)
Who Is Covered
This policy applies strictly to the authorized rider registered under the Hire Motorcycle rental agreement. No other individual is eligible for coverage under this policy.
What You Need to Do in Case of an Accident
To ensure your claim is processed smoothly, please follow these steps:
1 – Report Immediately
Notify the police as soon as possible after the incident. A police report is required for all claims.
2 – Inform Hire Motorcycle
You must contact us within the time of the accident.
3 – Provide Documentation
Submit all relevant medical bills, receipts, and supporting documents without delay.
What Is Not Covered
The policy will not apply under the following conditions:
- Injuries related to pre-existing health conditions
- Accidents involving unauthorized riders
- Incidents resulting from illegal acts or unsafe/reckless riding
- Injuries not directly caused by a road accident involving the rented motorcycle
Policy Validity
This insurance is valid only for the duration of your active rental period and automatically expires once the rental agreement ends.
Changes to This Policy
Hire Motorcycle may update or modify this policy when necessary. Any updates will be communicated through our official channels.
Acceptance of Terms
By renting a vehicle from Hire Motorcycle, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of this insurance coverage and its terms.
