These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental of motorcycles (“Vehicle” or “Vehicles”) from Hire Motorcycle (“Hire Motorcycle”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) through our website hiremotorcycle.com (the “Website”) or our mobile application (the “App”).
By making a booking, completing payment, or using any Vehicle, you (“Renter”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy (collectively, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not proceed with the booking or use of any Vehicle.

All rentals and services are governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
2. Acceptance of Terms
You acknowledge and agree that acceptance of these Terms occurs when you:
- Tick the acceptance box during booking; or
- Proceed with payment; or
- Take possession of a Vehicle.
This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you and Hire Motorcycle.
3. Eligibility Requirements
To rent a Vehicle, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the minimum legal age required under Maldivian law for the relevant motorcycle class.
- Hold a valid motorcycle driving licence recognized under Maldivian law (or a valid International Driving Permit where applicable).
- Provide valid government-issued identification (passport or national ID).
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our sole discretion, including where eligibility requirements are not satisfied.
4. Booking, Pricing, and Payment
- The minimum rental period is one (1) day, unless otherwise stated.
- All bookings must be made through the Website or App.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Prices displayed include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- We may require a refundable security deposit, which will be returned subject to inspection and compliance with these Terms.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel bookings arising from obvious system or pricing mistakes.
5. Rental Period and Responsibility
- The rental period begins when you take possession of the Vehicle and ends when it is returned to us at the agreed location and time.
- You are fully responsible for the Vehicle during the entire rental period.
- You must operate the Vehicle carefully, responsibly, and in full compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations of the Republic of Maldives.
- Only the named Renter is authorized to operate the Vehicle unless additional drivers are expressly approved in writing.
- You must not carry passengers beyond the legal capacity of the Vehicle.
6. Prohibited Uses
You must not use, or permit the use of, the Vehicle for:
- Any illegal, unlawful, or criminal activity.
- Transporting narcotics, illegal substances, weapons, or prohibited items under Maldivian law.
- Racing, stunt riding, reckless driving, or off-road use (unless expressly authorized).
- Commercial delivery services or sub-rental without written consent.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
If prohibited use is discovered, we reserve the right to report the matter to the relevant authorities. You shall bear full responsibility for all legal consequences, penalties, damages, reputational harm, and associated costs.
7. Traffic Violations, Parking, and Towing
You are solely responsible for:
- All traffic violations committed during the rental period.
- Parking fines, penalties, towing charges, impound fees, storage fees, legal fees, and administrative costs.
All such charges must be paid immediately upon demand. We reserve the right to deduct unpaid amounts from your security deposit or payment method.
8. Damage, Loss, Theft, and Accidents
You are fully liable for any loss of or damage to the Vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault, other than insurance coverage.
This includes:
- Collision damage
- Third-party damage
- Theft or attempted theft
- Vandalism
- Mechanical damage resulting from misuse
- Loss of keys or accessories
You agree to pay:
- Full repair or replacement costs
- Loss-of-use charges during repair period
- Administrative fees
- Any diminution in value
You must immediately notify Hire Motorcycle and, where legally required, the relevant authorities in the event of an accident, theft, or damage.
9. Return of Vehicle
You must:
- Return the Vehicle at the agreed date, time, and location.
- Return the Vehicle in the same condition as received (fair wear excepted).
Late returns may incur:
- Additional rental charges at the prevailing daily rate;
- Late fees;
- Administrative charges.
We will inspect the Vehicle upon return. Any damage beyond fair wear will be charged to you.
10. Security Deposit
Where applicable:
- The security deposit may be used to cover unpaid rental charges, damage, fines, penalties, fuel shortages, cleaning fees, or other amounts owed.
- Any remaining balance will be refunded within a reasonable timeframe after inspection.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hire Motorcycle, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, fines, penalties, legal costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Vehicle;
- Breach of these Terms;
- Violation of any law or regulation.
12. Termination
We may terminate the rental immediately if:
- You breach these Terms;
- You misuse the Vehicle;
- You provide false information;
- You engage in unlawful activity.
Upon termination, you must immediately return the Vehicle upon demand.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Maldives.
14. Amendments
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking shall apply to that rental.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hire Motorcycle and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

18. Child Safety and Prohibited Conduct
Hire Motorcycle maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse, exploitation, or illegal content.
Our services are strictly intended for individuals who meet the legal driving age requirements in the Republic of Maldives. We do not permit the use of our Website or App for:
- Uploading, sharing, or distributing unlawful or exploitative content;
- Any activity involving minors that violates applicable laws;
- Any conduct that endangers the safety or well-being of a child.
If we become aware of any suspected illegal activity involving minors, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or terminate access to our services;
- Remove any related content;
